Building Handover Manual | Rothesay Court, London UK

ScotsCare is a charity providing disadvantaged people of Scottish descent with practical, financial and emotional support through an advocacy advice service, financial grants, training, sheltered housing and organised social events.   During 2020, the charity’s Rothesay Court housing site in Lewisham underwent a renovation to provide twelve additional flats, together with additional communal facilities, a lift, a car park, and relocation of an external shed and bin store, in addition to associated landscaping, increasing the organisation’s number of sheltered flats across its three locations.

Dewick & Associates worked with Builder, Morton Hale Construction, to collate building documentation associated with ScotsCare’s extension into a thorough, well organised Building Handover Manual. The manual included key contact details, a description of the systems installed and a schedule of equipment and operating instructions, in addition to maintenance procedures and log sheets so ScotsCare could care for the plant installed post handover to ensure the longevity of their investment.
