Electrical & Mechanical O&M Manuals & Building Handover Manual | Point of Entry Warrenpoint Harbour – UK

DAERA (Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs) Points of Entry (PoE) in Northern Ireland are essential for biosecurity, regulatory compliance, and trade facilitation. They serve as designated locations for mandatory sanitary and phytosanitary (SPS) checks on specific imports.

Warrenpoint Port is a designated Point of Entry (PoE) in Northern Ireland for carrying out specific post-Brexit checks on goods arriving from Great Britain. It is the second busiest port in Northern Ireland by tonnage handled. Along with Belfast and Larne ports, Warrenpoint was officially approved by the EU and the UK government to conduct necessary Sanitary and Phytosanitary (SPS) checks required under the Northern Ireland Protocol/Windsor Framework.

Together, they reduce risk, save costs, and protect your investment over the long term, while others (like TM31 logbooks) are critical for meeting Building Regulations Part L and optimising energy management. As a documentation package, they reduce risk, save costs, and protect your investment over the long term.

Ongoing developments

The redevelopment at Warrenpoint also coincided with a broader public-realm transformation along the Front Shore area. As part of a £2.2 million + revitalisation funded by the Department for Communities and Newry, Mourne & Down District Council, the project enhanced the Havelock and Osborne Terrace car parks, resurfaced paths, added decorative street lighting, and introduced new street furniture and greenery. These upgrades not only support the operational demands of a major PoE, but also enhance the visual appeal and functionality of the port area, reinforcing its role as a gateway in UK-NI trade.
