Building Handover Manuals | Edinburgh Aircraft Control Tower Remediation Works, Edinburgh – SA

Originally built in 1953, The Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Base Edinburgh is located approximately 30km north of Adelaide, South Australia.  The existing control tower has been upgraded with changes to the internal layout and electrical systems to accommodate new air traffic management systems.

Building works included replacement of ceilings and roofing, modifications of doors and hardware to meet NCC and DDA standards, painting of existing windows, gutters, fascias and soffits, and landscaping upgrades.  The works have been carried out to ensure code compliance and to meet the heritage recommendations.   The existing services have also been upgraded including provision of new air conditioning, new LED lighting upgrades to the existing security alarm system, alterations to the existing Fire Indicator Panel (FIP), replacement of switchboards which had asbestos backing, modifications to the power systems and energy metering. 

Dewick & Associates have provided full HOTO (Handover / Takeover) documentation on behalf of the builder including Building Handover Manuals (detailing the architectural and structural elements of the projects), Services O&M Manuals, As Installed Drawings, Meta Data associated with all documentation and the collation and provision of HOTO Checklist.
