The Klose family own several independent Foodland stores throughout the Adelaide Hills and in early 2020 relocated their Woodside store to a larger premise to enable them to better serve the local community for years to come. The project had two parts; the base building and the fit-out.

The base build works involved the demolition of an existing house, extensive civil works and construction including the painting of precast panelling, structural steel, brick work and CFC/ACP soffits. In addition to the building, civil and landscaping works, Chappell Builders also managed the services sub-trades including the provision of over 100 solar panels and roof safety systems to facilitate the maintenance of the roof-mounted solar panels.

The fit-out portion of the contract included joinery and floor coverings alongside the management of the mechanical, electrical and hydraulic services. The ability to provide concurrent construction was a key factor in delivering a timely project of excellent quality while maintaining solid working relationships.
