The City of Oxford College is a further education college in Oxford, England, spread across two campuses: one in the city centre and one in Blackbird Leys, south-east of Oxford city. The college works closely with leading employers throughout the region to make sure courses contain content relevant to current skill trades. Programmes at the City Of Oxford College include vocational training for school leavers and professionals/adults, A Levels, apprenticeships, higher education, international study, leisure and adult learning and programmes to help the unemployed return to work.
The city campus is home to specialist learning facilities, including renowned Rycotewood Furniture which has delivered furniture design and make training since 1938. The Blackbird Leys site, a specialist technology campus, conducts training in the construction, engineering, IT and motor vehicle industries.
Following a refurbishment of the college’s city centre and Blackbird Leys campuses, D&A compiled a Building Handover manual comprising a combined Mechanical and Electrical Services Operating and Maintenance Manual, a Health and Safety File summarising the safety requirements for stakeholders cleaning, maintaining, altering, refurbishing, repairing and demolishing components of the associated refurbishment and a Building User Guide in accordance with BSRIA BG 26/2011 guidelines.
