Mechanical & Electrical O&M Manuals | Lidl Wandsworth, Surrey – UK

The Lidl Wandsworth store will be located within the popular Southside Shopping Centre and will serve as a flagship for the international retail chain, showcasing modern design, sustainability, and convenience.

Key environmental features include:

  • Energy-efficient lighting and HVAC systems;
  • Sustainable materials used throughout the design, including recycled and eco-friendly construction elements;
  • Green roofing to improve insulation and contribute to stormwater management;
  • Energy Recovery Ventilation (ERV) systems to maintain indoor air quality while minimizing energy consumption;
  • BREEAM Certification: The building was designed to meet high sustainability standards, achieving a BREEAM certification for its environmental performance;
  • Solar Panels: A significant portion of the building’s electricity demand is met through solar power, reducing the store’s reliance on non-renewable energy sources;
  • Low-carbon footprint: Efficient insulation, lighting, and heating/cooling systems contribute to reducing the overall carbon footprint of the building;
  • Water Management: The store includes water-saving fixtures and rainwater harvesting systems to ensure responsible use of water resources.

Dewick & Associates have provided the Mechanical & Electrical O&M manuals for the project. Using extensive building services knowledge, our in-house Technical Writing team have provided detailed systems descriptions for the project such as Low Voltage power distribution (LVD), lighting and specialist lighting controls and Variable Refrigerant Flow air conditioning systems.

Detailed system descriptions ensure that both technical and non-technical building owners, users and operators are able to understand the building services installed and how to operate them.  Our O&M manuals ensure that maintenance teams can quickly understand the equipment installed which assists in speeding up troubleshooting processes in case of failure of equipment.
