The Children’s Cottage Society provides programs and services to support families across Calgary in times of need. In response to increasing demand on the existing Crisis Nursery and funded via generous donations and fundraising efforts, a new facility has been built which will provide an additional 20-beds and facilities for enhanced support programs and services.
The new building is located in the north west of the city, housing arts and crafts space, play rooms and living areas, kitchen facilities, one-on-one counselling areas, bedrooms and administrative areas. The mechanical services systems comprise hydronic and direct gas-fired heating, outside air and exhaust ventilation, hot and cold water reticulation, sewer drainage systems and grease interceptors.
