The existing MLC Centre, located within the heart of Sydney, is undergoing a $170 million redevelopment to deliver a new and improved retail space of approximately 6,000m² across four levels of the existing building. The new retail offerings will include luxury and premium retail to Castlereagh and King Street, a food and beverage precinct fronting onto Martin Place and a mix of retail and service providers within the building core, in addition to a new commercial tower entrance from Castlereagh Street, improving connectivity for workers and visitors. Dexus, the MLC Lessor, has also entered a 55-year lease with the NSW Government for the Theatre Royal, with the intention of a private operator managing the theatre in the future.

Dewick & Associates has been working closely with Tempest Solutions to provide the commissioning plans and O&M manuals for each separable portion (SP) of the MLC project.  The project is staged over a 24-month period, with completion expected late 2021.  The commissioning plan and O&M manual for SP4 have been completed as at March 2020, with documentation for the remaining SPs to be provided in line with the project’s construction program.
