Metadata for Mechanical Services O&M Manual and As Installed Drawings | Department of Defence, RAAF Base, Williamtown – NSW

The Department of Defence set out standards and procedures for production of project documentation such as O&M Manuals / As Installed Drawings. As part of this, all documents must be provided with Metadata (a set of data that describes and gives information about other data) using the Department of Defence Metadata Entry Tool (MET).

Each document is provided with a metadata file which includes information such as the creation date; author; type of information; stage of issue i.e. design / construction; location attribute. The project documentation and associated metadata files are submitted to the Department of Defence who then verify the content for upload onto internal estate management systems.

Dewick & Associates provided the Metadata files for both the Mechanical O&M Manual and As Installed Drawings. Accuracy was imperative in this lengthy and specialist task, with our trained team member ensuring that all information provided was correct.
