Building Handover Manuals | Old Crow Community Centre, Yukon – CA

Funding from the Federal and Yukon government has enabled a new Community Centre to be constructed within the remote Old Crow Community, located on the Porcupine River in the far north of the territory.

The new building replaces the existing community centre to provide the opportunity for gathering of residents in the area, enable the preparation of traditional food for community events and house meeting rooms, a games room and a gathering area for elders – providing an all encompassing cultural hub for the area.  The project will create an inclusive community space for Yukoners to meet, grow, and learn from each other.

Dewick & Associates have provided the Building Handover Manuals for the project, sourcing manufacturers literature, certificates and warranties from the trade sub contractors, collating and  providing technical writing of the  manual.  Sub Contractors included  operable walls, painting, Doors, and Cladding.  The handover documentation also includes specific detailed maintenance log sheets for all trades to ensure longevity of the building.
