Electrical O&M Manual | The Memorial Hospital

The Memorial Hospital is a private, not-for-profit facility located on the outskirts of Adelaide’s CBD, nestled amongst picturesque parklands.  Initially established as a memorial to World War I veterans, the hospital was officially opened in 1920.

Just under 100 years later, the hospital has undergone a refurbishment with an expansion of the existing operating theatre and addition of new facilities including a consulting suite at the main entrance, subsequent operating theatres, a paediatric day stay unit and staff amenities, complemented by the refurbishment of patient accommodation, wards and the Reception area, as well as infrastructure and support service upgrades.

Due to the critical nature of the facility, it was imperative that disruption to the hospital’s operations was minimised during works so the project was divided into staged packages allowing for the decanting of hospital staff and operations to other facilities to ensure the hospital functioned in its usual capacity.

Dewick & Associates provided the electrical O&M manuals for the project including descriptions of the following systems: MSB / DBs, standby diesel generator,  Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS), Energy Monitoring System (EMS), lighting and lighting control, communications, security, MATV and specialist nurse call medical services.
