Mechanical Commissioning Plan + O&M Manual | Anne and Eric Smorgon Active Living Centre

Jewish Care, founded in 1848, was established to provide the Jewish community of Melbourne with assistance when needed.  Since inception, Jewish Care has continued its mission, funding and providing residential services, in-home services, disability support and general support to Jewish families.

Jewish Care funded the new Anne & Eric Smorgon Active Living Centre located on its existing Caulfield site, comprised of meeting rooms, flexible workspaces, multi-purpose rooms, a gymnasium, physiotherapy room and amenities. The Centre aims to connect communities through social and recreational activities, in addition to cultural and spiritual services and therapies.  The Centre will support seniors living independently in the local community as well as residents at the adjacent Elders at Gary Smorgon House which has been provided with a linkway.

Dewick & Associates provided the mechanical commissioning plan and mechanical O&M manual for the project.  The commissioning plan included a detailed project scope and description of systems installed, in addition to the requirements of the commissioning process, procedures to follow, inspection and test plans and commissioning record sheets.

To save the mechanical contractor time and improve the efficiency of the commissioning process, Dewick & Associates provided pre-populated test sheets for each item of equipment to complement the commissioning plan.
