Goodwood Oval is a key sporting hub located in the heart of the City of Unley. The oval provides facilities for Australian Rules Football, Cricket, Tennis, Hockey and is also available for public recreation. The existing grandstand is over 60 years old and requires redevelopment. In 2017 the State Government issued $2.5 million in funding for the Grandstand redevelopment with additional support from SANFL, Cricket Australia, the local council and football and cricket clubs.
The new design will not only improve spectator viewing but also provide the facility with new change rooms, a medical facility that will be able to accommodate up to four teams at once, and new clubrooms and meeting rooms. The new design also includes a maintenance building which will be able to store the larger pieces of sporting equipment.
Dewick & Associates have provided the Hydraulics O&M manual, the Electrical O&M manual, and the As Installed Drawings for the project. They detail the services and systems installed and provide the preventative maintenance requirements of each system to mitigate breakdowns/faults during the plant life.
