Located in the heart of Adelaide’s CBD, the eighteen storey 52-56 Franklin Street building will provide Class 5 commercial office accommodation, a ground floor retail tenancy, mezzanine, loading dock and end of trip bicycle parking.
Dewick & Associates have provided engineering support to the Mechanical Contractor as part of the design review process, where floor space usage efficiency has been targeted. In particular, D&A have redesigned the ChW / HHW AHU systems, consolidating plant and equipment to the Level 18 plant room areas, freeing up critical Level 6 lettable areas within the building. The air and water distribution systems have been reviewed, risers resized and terminal units selected including heat load modeling for a typical floor.
Once approved, Dewick & Associates will progress the design to provide detailed air and water side static calculations and drawings through the construction phase of the project.
