Adelaide Festival Square is right in the heart of the Adelaide CBD, bordered by the Adelaide Railway Station, Parliament House and the River Torrens to the north. The 5,000m² city square will provide a connection between the Adelaide Oval, railway station, Casino, Festival Centre, Adelaide Convention Centre and Riverside area.
In support of these attractions, a new 1,500 space carpark has been built below ground throughout five basement levels. The carpark also boasts bicycle end of trip parking facilities and bicycle parking spaces.
The new carpark has a new sub mains power supply, main switchboard (MSB) and Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS), which feeds distribution boards (DB) on each level of the car park for power to general and emergency lighting and power circuits. The carpark also has a new communications system and a security system for access control.
The mechanical installation includes carpark exhaust and ventilation systems (incorporating CO and NO2 monitoring and control systems), stairwell pressurisation systems to the carpark stairwells, air conditioning to the basement level rooms and toilet exhaust systems.
Dewick & Associates have provided the Electrical Commissioning Plan and the Mechanical and Electrical O&M Manuals for this project. The O&M manuals provide details on all the systems installed, control and operation and recommendations for preventative maintenance; the Electrical Commissioning Plan details commissioning procedures and processes along with test sheets to record all results.
Dewick & Associates will also print the Electrical drawings for insertion within the O&M Manuals to provide complete hand over documentation.
