Project Overview

Avenues College in Adelaide’s north-east has undergone a major transformation aimed at delivering more connected and functional learning environments for students and staff.

Led by BluBuilt Constructions and delivered in partnership with the Department for Infrastructure & Transport and Department for Education, the project involved the demolition of outdated buildings and the construction and refurbishment of new, modern spaces. These included:

• Six General Learning Areas with integrated breakout zones
• A dedicated Digital Lab
• A new Year 12 common room
• Upgraded staff facilities and administration areas

This upgrade supports the long-term educational needs of the local community and enhances the day-to-day experience for teachers and students alike.

Our Role

Dewick & Associates was engaged to deliver clear, structured documentation to support the operational handover and ongoing management of the upgraded facilities. Our focus was on ensuring that building services were well-documented, accessible, and aligned with Department for Infrastructure & Transport (DIT) standards. Services delivered inlcuded:-

• Comprehensive Builder’s Handover Manual in DIT format
• Fire Services Operation & Maintenance Manual, including full technical authoring, As-installed Drawings, and Proficient Fire Protection
• Preventative Maintenance Log Sheets for ongoing asset care
• Collaboration with services contractors to ensure all technical data was current and accurately reflected in final documentation
• Implementation of the D&A Nucleus Online Portal for streamlined collation of subcontractor documentation, manufacturer literature, certifications, and warranties
