Building Handover Manuals | Health Satellite Hospital Program, QLD

The Satellite Hospital Program (SHP) delivered seven new facilities to support public healthcare delivery in southeast Queensland. The satellite hospitals are located in major growth areas, enabling people to access healthcare services in a purpose-built community setting, closer to home, without travelling to a major hospital’s emergency department.

Each satellite hospital has a Minor Injury and Illness Clinic with medical imaging and diagnostic services. The clinic provides walk-in, urgent care for illnesses and injuries not anticipated to be life-threatening, such as simple fractures, simple infections, toothache, minor burns and minor head injuries.

The satellite hospitals offer additional referral-based outpatient services, such as mental health support, kidney dialysis and a range of medical and allied health speciality clinics, based on the specific needs of their local communities.

Dewick & Associates have provided Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical, Hydraulic, Dry Fire, and Medical Gases Manuals for the project on behalf of the Main Contractor. Dewick & Associates have also provided Project Specific Maintenance Log Sheets and Training Handbooks as part of the project handover documentation.
