Project Overview

The recently opened Kalara Reserve in Davoren Park represents a significant investment in community facilities for Adelaide’s northern suburbs. Designed to provide a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment for local residents, the redevelopment delivers high-quality recreational infrastructure that enhances liveability and fosters community connection.

The $6M upgrade of Kalara Reserve has delivered a modern, centrally located club room and change-room facility that now supports both the Andrews Farm Soccer & Community Club and the Andrews Farm Cricket Club.  pitches. The new amenities create greater opportunities for clubs to grow, while also offering the community a purpose-built space designed for flexibility and long-term use.

Kalara Reserve has been designed with community needs at the heart of the project. Key features of the redevelopment include four change-rooms, a dedicated umpires’ room, a synthetic cricket pitch with three practice nets, upgraded kitchen and bar facilities, walk-in cool room, flexible meeting and function spaces, alfresco spectator seating, a new car park, and solar panels to reduce running costs and environmental impact. With improved amenities for players, volunteers, and spectators, the upgraded reserve is now a true community hub, enabling clubs to host events, meetings, and functions, while future council planning will see the original facility repurposed into a dedicated community space for even broader access.

Dewick & Associates’ Role

Dewick & Associates developed the Mechanical Services Operation & Maintenance (O&M) Manual on behalf of Integrated Air & Electrical; Hydraulics Services O&M Manual on behalf of Plumb Ezy Group; Electrical Services O&M Manual on behalf of Buss & Grigg. The final manuals offer a reliable reference for facilities teams to operate and maintain the building systems and mechanical systems, supporting long-term performance and efficiency.

Services provided:-

• Technical authoring for the Mechanical, Electrical and Hydraulic O&M Manuals, detailing the safe operation, maintenance, and compliance requirements of building services
• As installed drawings for all services
• Provision of Preventative Maintenance Log Sheets & Fault Finding processes
• A dedicated Client Coordinator to ensure current technical data was collated to enable detailed bespoke documentation to be provided
