Mechanical Engineering and O&M Manuals | Guide Dogs SA, Puppy Development Centre Adelaide

The Guide Dogs SA Puppy Development Centre (PDC) is a quarantine area where breeding stock give birth to their pups. Each mother and her pups live in the Centre for around eight weeks before each pup is placed in a loving Puppy Raiser’s home for training and development as a Guide or Autism Assistance Dog.

The existing facilities in Adelaide are being upgraded to ensure full comfort of the canine occupants for the duration of their stay. Dewick & Associates have provided Design and Construct Engineering services for the project including heat loads, ventilation assessment, engineering report and marked up drawings.  A full ventilation analysis and air balance of the spaces has been undertaken to ensure adequate outside air is provided and that odours are not transferred between spaces.  The design has been provided in line with Australian Standards and the SA Standards and Guidelines for Breeding and Training of Companion Dogs.

Dewick & Associates will be providing full hard copy O&M Manuals for the project when required.
