The Children’s Assessment and Treatment Unit (CAT) of Leeds General Infirmary provides care for children up to 16 years of age before being discharged or admitted to the in-patient ward. In 2020, the Unit’s Jubilee and Clarendon Wing underwent a refurbishment that saw the introduction of ducted exhaust systems, duct mounted reheat coils, new sewer and cold / hot water systems connecting to existing systems and boiling water units for the staff room and play area, in addition to low surface temperature radiators, and medical gas and vacuum systems.
Dewick & Associates worked with mechanical services contractor, LMB Group, to detail the mechanical installation within a concise Mechanical Services O&M Manual. The document, incorporating system descriptions, equipment schedules, key contact details and maintenance procedures and log sheets, would allow the end user to maintain the systems post handover.
