Mechanical Services O&M Manuals | Royal Australian Navy HMAS Cerberus Training Facility, HMAS Cerberus – VIC

HMAS Cerberus, located adjacent to Crib Point on Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula, is a training facility utilised by the Royal Australian Navy in addition to army and air force personnel. Approximately 6,000 personnel annually train at the facility comprised of numerous training and recreation amenities, two chapels, a small marina and training grounds.

Navy-specific training completed at the facility includes sessions at the School of Survivability and Ship Safety, which specialises in firefighting, damage control and nuclear, biological and chemical defence, seamanship and weapons training.

Mechanical Contractor BSA Advanced Property Solutions recently completed maintenance and construction works involving numerous HMAS Cerberus buildings and comprising HVAC system replacement, electrical upgrade of HVAC systems and the maintenance and upgrade of fire engineering and fire protection systems, in addition to the de-commissioning of non-compliant fuel lines and installation of compliant piping infrastructure at the fuel farm.

This project required handover documentation to adhere to stringent guidelines in order for practical completion to be sought and achieved. Dewick & Associates prepared Mechanical Services Operating & Maintenance Manuals incorporating a detailed scope, schedule and key contacts, in addition to place holders for drawings and commissioning data for each building involved in the works.
