Located on the NSW / ACT border, the new K-12 Queanbeyan SSP is positioned adjacent to Karabar High School, providing educational facilities for students with special needs. The project is part of the NSW Government’s school building initiative to provide new and upgraded schools for communities across NSW. The school is due to open in 2021 with an anticipated enrolment of 55 students.

The new SSP comprises four buildings which house administration facilities, learning areas for K- 12, withdrawal areas, a hall, a library and special program delivery areas. The project also includes outdoor learning spaces, landscaping and dedicated drop-off and car parking for the school.

Hydraulic services provided for the project include rainwater reuse systems, sanitary drainage / plumbing, hot and cold water, natural gas services and fire systems incorporating a fire hydrant system and fire hose reel service.

Dewick & Associates provided the Hydraulic Services O&M Manual for the project including detailed maintenance instructions for each of the systems installed and descriptions of the equipment provided by the Hydraulic Services Contractor.
